Posture in childhood is an indicator of the condition and back pain in adulthood.
It also affects our well-being and self-confidence. Regular check-ups and parental observation of the child's posture are crucial for early detection of deviations and deformities in posture. Due to increasing school burdens, with a lot of sitting and too little free play, posture problems in children are becoming more common.
Regular physical activity enables children to develop appropriate muscle mass, coordination, flexibility, balance, and agility, which strongly affects the quality of life in adulthood.
We distinguish between poor postures (excessive kyphosis in the thoracic area, "hunchback," excessive lordosis in the lumbar area, etc.) and scoliosis. Idiopathic scoliosis is scoliosis where the cause is unknown; it is the most common type of scoliosis and occurs in children between 10 and 12 years old. In the case of scoliosis, it is best to detect it before the rapid growth period begins, but it is often identified after this stage.
At the Health Center Olimia, we have created a colorful children's gym with various aids, where our experts guide parents and children in proper exercise and posture correction.
